any way to rig it?

I keep reading posts about the MR and the cover issues, which sort of turns me off to the seat, but I    the flair print that Target will be carrying. So... do you think there is any way to rig up the cover so it would stay on? ie, sew a piece of elastic to it somewhere and then attach it to the seat? Is this a big no no in terms of safety? I'm still learning...

Generally speaking, the word "rig" and car seats don't mix. :)

As for your specific question, I haven't seen a MR in person to know specifically what's wrong with the cover. So in other words, I don't know. :)
