Radian covers?

Which Radian cover/s has the most padding? We have the regular Radian65 in granite. My ds is a skinny little guy and often complains that his butt hurts. Since he's going to be in this seat more, in the future, I'm wondering which cover/s is most plush and will be better for sitting in on long rides.

I'd rather buy a new cover for the Radian than buy a Nautilus (okay I really want the Nautilus, but we have 2 unused Radians and I'd like to put at least one to use).

I don't know that any of the covers by themselves are cushier; the XT has memory foam in the seating area that makes a huge difference. I didn't notice a difference in the champagne/granite covers vs. the Princess cover we had for the RN65 and 80. There might be more padding in the seating area of the 80 in general, but I'm not sure.

Actually ALL the Radians with the new features have the memory foam pad. Including the 65s. If you have an old one I bet you could buy a new cover (with the slot for the pad) and also buy a "replacement" memory foam pad. Call them up and see.

I contacted Sunshine Kids this morning. They're sending me the memory foam, free of charge, and told me to try it with the current cover to see if it works. If it doesn't, then I should buy a new cover.

Wow! I didn't know there were memory foam pads for them! I'll have to see if I can buy one. Hannah doesn't really complain yet, but I always thought the Radian seemed less comfy than the FPSVD that has the foam pad under the cover.
Let me know if it works with your current cover!

Did you get your padding yet, and if so, did you try it with your cover? Did it work?
I'm waiting to call them until I get the numbers off my seat when I take it out to change covers in a day or 2.

Well, it's actually that it's a new-model cover. My new 65 has a slot for it too.

But anyway, it will definitely hold the foam, I'd go ahead and call for it if I were you.

The foam came and I put it under his cover. In spite of the fact that it doesn't have the slot, it seems to fit just fine. I think it will make our 12 hour drive, next week, much more bearable for my little boy.

I just called them, they put me on hold for a minute then came back and said "That foam won't work in the older models." I'm going to try back tomorrow and see if I can get someone different and also tell them that I have a newer model cover, so it should work.
