Roche Diagnostics announced that it is notifying its customers and healthcare professionals about a potential issue with a small number of ACCUCHEK ® Softclix 10 and/or 17 count lancets that have missing caps that were distributed as samples or in the meter kits which may lead to an accidental needle stick. Meters are: ACCU-CHEK® Active Meter Kit, ACCU-CHEK® Voicemate Meter, ACCU-CHEK® Aviva Meter kits, ACCU-CHEK® Compact Plus Meter Kit

New York Firm Recalls Duck Leg ("D'ARTAGNAN TRADITIONAL DUCK LEG CONFIT") and Sausage ("Schaller & Weber HUNGARIAN BRAND KOLBASE") Products for Possible Listeria Contamination. The duck and sausage products were produced on May 13, 2009. The duck products were sent to distributors and restaurants in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. The sausage products were sent to distributors and restaurants in New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia as well as the company's retail store in New York City.

Chang Farm Recalls Expired Chang Farm Bean and Soy Sprouts Because of Possible Health Risk. The product has been distributed to retail stores and restaurants throughout MA, CT, NY and NJ and had a "Sell By" or "Use By" date of May 23, 2009 or May 24, 2009 on package.

Union International Food Company of City of Industry, CA is recalling Lian How Brand White Peppers with red labels, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The Lian How Brand White Pepper in 5 lbs plastic containers with red labels were distributed in Southern California to restaurants and wholesalers from September 2008 to March 2009.

SP Provisions, a Portland, Ore., establishment is recalling approximately 39,973 pounds of ground beef products (Cascade Natural Beef Brand and SP Provisions Brand) that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. These ground beef products were produced on various dates from April 8, 2009 through May 28, 2009, and were distributed to retail establishments as well as hotels, restaurants and institutions in Oregon and Washington.

Holten Meat, Inc., a Sauget, Ill., establishment, is recalling approximately 241,000 pounds of ground beef product that may contain foreign materials. The product was produced on various dates from January 2009 through May 2009 and was distributed to institutions in Del., Fla., Ill., Ky., N.C., N.M., Ohio, S.C., Tenn., Texas, and Va.

XL Four Star Beef, Inc, a Nampa, Idaho, establishment is recalling approximately 14,560 pounds of beef primal and subprimal products that were imported from Canada and not presented for re-inspection upon entry into the United States. The beef products were produced on May 22, 2009, and were distributed to various wholesalers in Ariz., Calif., Ill., Mo., Neb., N.J., N.Y., and Ore. The beef products were distributed only at the wholesale level before the recall; so, none of the beef products would have reached consumers.

Regal Health Food International, Inc. is conducting a voluntary recall of Regal Gourmet Snacks Pistachio. These products were distributed nationwide beginning in October of 2008 until March 31, 2009.
