fabric on pistachio ra50

I was wondering if anyone knows what the middle polka dot fabric feels like on the pistachio cover? Is it fuzzy or smooth? Also what are the crotch strap measurements? I'm hoping that if I can put the strap up against the baby then it won't bother his legs as much as it does on the 40lb roundabout.

It is smooth velour material. I can measure the crotch depths tomorrow, but the slot closest to the back of the seat is like SUPER close. My 9 month old uses the middle slot and it fits him perfectly. The manual says to use the slot that is closest to but not under the child.

Oh good, thanks for that. It's hard to tell in pictures what the fabric is you know? I tried to find the specs for the crotch strap on the britax website but had no luck:(. That seat is just too cute, there are so few prints that one can use for a boy so I'm thinking it might be perfect for Dh's car.

How do you think this will handle in the heat (it regularly gets above 90 degrees for about 5 months of the year where we live)

Would Onyx be better? I know Brookshire gray is right out.
