I am expecting my DS in early July. He will be riding in a snugride for 3 months- I hate lugging infant carriers around. The seat also expires in Dec. So I am looking at the Evenflo seats and can't figure out the difference in the LX and DLX. Any help would be great. Thx

i think the biggest difference, IIRC, is that some of the top of the line ones (is it the DLX?) have "memory foam." However, that said, I find ALL the EFTAs to be quite good in the padding department. but i think some people have said they think the padding is better on the top model--i just can't really tell.

also, the same top of the line one has the fancy Britax-style alligator LATCH clips, instead of the basic hook ones. a nice feature, if you are really into that.

i think those are the 2 big differences. it's never been enough for me to spring for the top model--the base model has been great for us.

BTW: I'm due 7/7/09--same time frame!

I don't know the difference in the two you're mentioning (someone here will chime in hopefully!!)... But my friend bought one with WAY more "comfort" padding around the sides than mine, which happens to be the cheapest one I could find anywhere ($97).
Mine came with very little infant padding that was removable (not a problem because our guy was 6 months or more and very large). Our cover is very soft and has some padding. It also has the cheaper style hook... now that I have Britax seats with the nicer alligator LATCH I love it as I move the seat often enough... Maybe you're not even going to use LATCH??
The extra seat padding in my friend's model is truly a lot more, I don't know that it really touches the child much though as the seat is such a "bowl" shape. It's also just comfort foam and the seat relies on the EPS foam (which completely cover both seats) in a crash. So I would suggest going and looking at both if you could. I know my Target had the cheaper one (the one I bought) and BabiesRUs and ToysRUS had the nicer one (that my friend registered for and got).

That's my 2!! :twocents:

Hope it helps at all??
