My older brother is in the process of relocating from MN to NE. He's been working in a nearby town (and staying at my house periodically - yippie ) since Sept.
His family: 9, 7, 4 and wife are still in MN. He's traveling a ton so he is using their Windstar (better gas mileage). Their Yukon is now the kidmobile. Because the Yukon ONLY has L/S belts outboard, I took my Airway out of the car last night and told him to take it home with him for the 4 yr old.
The conversation went something like this:
"I want you to take this with you for DD."
"She has a seat."
"Yes, but that leaves one of the boys in a lap only and that is not very safe. I'd like for you to put DD in middle so the boys can each have L/S. Then everybody will be safer."
This morning, he left early (before I was up). The seat is still in the entry way. Why, I ask myself, did I not PUT it in the van myself, then call his wife to tell her my suggestion?
I'm not asking/suggesting they spend any money, just take about 5 minutes to put the seat in the car. . .
On the plus side, I will SEE them all next week for T-Day, so I will probably just DO IT MYSELF then. . . .
The kids will probably ride in the van for that trip, where all 3 have L/S (the 4 yr old is in a BPB in both cars and the boys pass the 5 step test in both vehicles).
Just Venting.
