My tech class is so awesome! I know some of you have said you were disappointed after your class, but I am very happy with mine, so far.
There are 7 people taking it, I am the only one taking it for "fun" the rest are doing it for their job, but voluntarily, so no one that was "forced" to be there, they all seem to be very interested. The class is taught by 3 local police officers (include a neighboring county sheriff) along with a fellow carseat geek (who is a member here) that works for a community enrichment program. They very much teach best practice and promoting erf, eh, and long term boostering, and teach how to encourage parents to do it.
They have a huge number of carseat, both for demonstration purposes (older, expired, ets), and also to show and let people try in their cars at events - mostly seats you can not get in our area, all the Britaxes, radian, EFTA, GN, and there will be a My Ride here before we go back next weekend! Plus they have quite a few chases and boosters that can be given away to those that need them.
All our food and drinks were provided both days, and will be next weekend also.
I can wait to go finish!
