I need to write a letter to the editor of my local paper, not for something they did, but for something I think I did.

I threw away a century breverra. The cover and harness seperate of the seat, the seat, just plastic, no stickers, no cover, just alone. I took them to the dump relay center. I should have waited to watch them push it into the pile with the tractor, but I didn't.

Well today I walked out of my wic office and a car pulled up to mine, in the back there was a toddler sitting in a coverless breverra using it as a BPB and an infant in a seat that was practically horizontal. It's just making me so sick to my stomach that someone might have picked up that seat at the relay center and is using it. It may not be the seat I had, but I'm pretty sure it is. It expires in two more months, and it's obviously misused because the belt guides are on the cover.

I'd like to write a letter to the editor about what I saw and to urge that mother and all parents in our area to take advantage of the two CPST's we have.

I'm just not so good with words.

I was just curious if maybe you see this lady again you could leave an anonymous note for them at the WIC counter explaining the unsafe use of that carseat.

One of the instructors here in NE has seen some of "our" seats come through a check up event. By "ours," I mean ones that has been confiscated at a prior check up event.

We write in "Sharpie" all over ours - EXPIRED - DO NOT USE - RECALLED FOR SAFETY FAILURE, etc.

I'd be willing to co write with you.

What's your message? That you feel sick/bad for putting someone's child at risk? That there are ways to get seats for little/no cost?

And actually I think your OP was pretty good.

We do the same, usually adding "CRASHED SEAT" That tends to scare people.
