I have no experience with the Frontier, but I thought I heard that the 80/20 rule doesn't apply to this - that the base has to be 100% on the vehicle seat. Is this right? Are there others?

The Nautilus has to be 100% on the vehicle seat I believe (I thought the Frontier was fine with some overhang?)

Yep, it does. I'm not positive, but I think it might just apply to booster mode.

I am looking at my owner's manual right now and it only says the 80% rule is booster mode. I don't see anywhere that it cannot overhang if it is in harness mode. I find the booster info about overhang on page 45.

I just read the manual and page 18 of the Nautilus manual states "Front of child restraint must not hang over edge of vehicle seat." It is mentioned again in the booster section.
I don't see anything about overhang in the Frontier manual.
