I wanted a Cybex until I saw the weight limit, 79.2lbs, I'm disappointed. But I love the size and shape of the side impact.
I like the Oobr, especially the one in my avi, but I don't like the empty space when the headrest is extened.
I really like the Monterey, the extended sides, and how it surrounds your child and seems so secure.

I would feel better about the oobr if I saw a crash test video and it did as well in side impact crash as the cybrex and monterey.

I would choose the cybrex because I think that it would protect better in a side impact crash than the monterey because of the rigid latch instead of the monterey which doesn't get tight. It will be interesting to see what the weight limit is on the cybrex when it comes out and if it fits bigger kids well.

LOL, not yet. She will be in the Regent at least another year, hopefully two. I will try to train her in a booster over that time, but one of those three will most likely be my big booster purchase next summer, unless something better comes out. But if DH let's me buy one in the next month or two it would probably be a red Monterey.

I just realized I know someone in the UK. Could they buy me the Cybex and send it over? It's only like $100, can't imagine shipping.
If I could do that then I would choose the Cybex now.
Can I do that?

Yeah, you could do that but I think it still falls under the category of illegally using it. Booster have to meet FMVSS too, right?
