Random question about petite Bean

Do you think Bean the Third (stats in signature), is more likely to outgrow the MyRide by height first or the True-Fit by weight first?

In other words, anyone have a fancy dancy height and weight predictor? LOL.

No fancy height/weight predictor here (that would be Pixel99's thing I believe) but I'd say height, unless she's short-torsoed.

I think you should measure torso.

My dd was 20 pounds at 22 months of age. She probably had a 10.5 inch torso or maybe 11 inches. She has a tiny head too. She will outgrow most any seat by weight before height. (So far the coccoro is the only exception, which is why I don't like it.)

If I'm following her weight correctly on my growth chart I would say height first unless, as the PP said, she is short torsoed. She is on the curve to hit 40 lbs sometime between 6 and 7 years. She is, however, of fairly average height. :)

Psssssttt...Bean the Third has a penis.

So in other words, a True Fit would probably allow a longer amount of time rearfacing than a MyRide?

What I'm doing is shooting for four. If he's 33 lbs at four, I'm not so concerned about those extra lbs from the My Ride, follow?

His stats look to be similar to Sofi. I think Sofi was 23/24 pounds at 24 months though.

I expect sofi to use the TF. She's not expected to hit 35 pounds until after 3 or 4. But, I also expect the MA and MR to get her to 4 RF as well. 4 is my goal.

Well then, HE is only in the 4th percentile for weight and 34th percentile for height so I am still sticking with height :D

ETA: he'll be closer to 7 when he hits 40 lbs. I had to find a new growth chart. The one I have printed is for girls :)

My ds is 25 pounds, 32-33 inches tall and 27 months old. I had looked at growth charts and predicted that he would reach 35 pounds at age 4 and 40 around age 5.5. There are various growth charts out there! My ds is also short torsoed. He's probably got an 11.5 inch torso right now.

I think it's a horse a piece. I'd think he'd hit the height limit of the MR probably around 3-5 and the weight limit of the TF probably around 5-6 or so.

So if your goal is 4, I think either seat would work depending on which you like better because I think at his size, both seats would get you to your goal. It's just which will last longer past that goal.

If I had to guess, if you went long enough past 4, he'd probably outgrow the MR first by height.
