LOL I have some more pics of the MR65.
(**Sorry, my camera is junk and my 3 y/o makes weird faces for pics**)
DS is 3½ years old. He is about 32 pounds & 38¼" tall. His butt to shoulder height is 13.5" and butt to the top of his head is 21¾".
DD is 17 months. She is about 24½ pounds & 33" tall. Her butt to shoulder height is 12.5" and butt to top of the head is 20".
Plenty of leg room, but look how close he is to the top of the shell already. The shell height is about 24" so he should have about 2" before he's too tall for this seat.. but it looks like he has even less than that. Maybe an inch left of growing room.
For reference, this is him like last week in his EFTA. It's hard to tell since he's wearing glasses and has puffy hair LOL, but he has more growing room in this seat than the MR65.
Awesome SIP! There is EPS foam under the cover, too  (sorry didn't get a pic)
Claire. She is on the same slots as Mason.. I didn't like how far below her shoulders they were, but it was hard to get a good pic of it.
tons of leg room for her
ONE crotch slot position. Um, it was this far away from my 1½ year old (who was in a cloth diaper, double stuffed, for the record) How do they expect it to fit a newborn?
He sat pretty reclined when FF. This isn't a great install on BRU's seat lol, but you get the idea.
side by side with a Marathon just so you can see the size
I'm pretty sure I've decided to pass on this seat. I'm going to wait until he outgrows the EFTA to make a final decision though. I love the MR65, it's a great seat.. but DS just doesn't have enough room to make it to 40 pounds. If he gets to 34-35 pounds and hasn't grown much in height, I'll probably get one. I'm still hoping other seats will come out with a 40lb RF limit (cough cough true fit LOL) That way he'd have more room to grow and maaybe make it to 40lbs before he outgrows it by height.
At least this seat will get the heavier 1 & 2 year olds to RF longer.
