To get a torso height on a child do you measure from their seat to head or seat to shoulders?

Torso height is the child's seated height measured from seat/bum to the top of the shoulders. Torso height is helpful for gauging how a child would fit relative to the shoulder harness slots in various 5-point harnessed carseats when trying to select a carseat, although having the individual child actually try on the carseat for size when it's installed in the car is the ultimately reliable way to check the fit.
