Today we picked up How to be a Baby, by Me The Big Sister by Sally Lloyd Jones and Sue Heap from the library. It is awful: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0375838430/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img
My opinions aside, one page I find quite worrisome. The big sister proceeds to tell the baby: "And when we go in the car, you have to sit in a baby-holder with a handle on it. You don't even face the right way. [Insert illustration of family in the car, baby rearfacing with a caption "FACING THE WRONG WAY" and big sister sitting in a seat belt captioned "me facing the right way"] (I prefer to sit in a seat like a normal person.)"
I fired off a review on Amazon. My rear-facing pre-schoolers get enough flack from their schoolmates, they don't need to be getting this misinformed message from children's books as well!
