Any other 5 yr olds using the top slot in the GN already??

My DS who is 5.5 yrs old last night was in his GN & he has grown over his current slot all of a sudden & will need the top slots now! I couldn't believe it!! He is only avg size, 46 lbs & 43.5" tall.

Is this normal or does he have a large torso for his age? Good thing he has a regent in my van!!:D

I was just in shock!!

I'm pretty sure Benjamin was on the top slots when I tried him in it. He will be 6 in Aug and is 46 lbs and 46 inches.

Well my just turned 6yo is still on the second to the top slots of his GN with some room to grow yet. He is tiny though. 38 lbs, 43", and I believe his torso height is 15.5". He'll be going in a booster before he outgrows the harness I'm sure. Oh and my dd did not outgrow the harness till she was 10yo. I have short torsoed kids.:p

AJ will be 6 on the 27th and has an inch left max before he's out. He moved to the top slots not too long after his birthday last year and now he's almost out!

My 5 year old is too tall for it. She outgrew a few months before her 5th bday. She's super tall though. 49".

yeah I just moved my 6 in June'r to the top slots. I think he is about 50 pounds. He may still have a good while in it though. His brother outgrew it at 7 and 65 pounds.

My 5 year old outgrew it last month- she will be six in 2 weeks. She was just even with the slot and then poof- she grew. But, FWIW, she would have outgrown the Frontier earlier than the GN, as well as the Radian. So, she's in a booster full-time now. That's life. I'm not upset at all because you can't slow them down. They just keep growing!

DD is 5 1/2 and on the top slots. DS is 3 1/2 and would probably need the top slots soon, within the next 6 months.

DD1 was even with the top slots when we tried it in the store at the beginning of the year. I am sure it would have been outgrown at installation. She has .5" to 1" left in the Regent depending on how upright I can get it. She'll move to booster full time later this summer.

C is on the top slots- he was moved there shortly after his 4th b-day. Has had next to no torso growth since then. He's 4 1/2, and still has a lot of growing room- I'd expect it to last until 5 1/2 or 6.

My dd, 5 in Feb, would be on the top slots. She's has long legs, so her torso is shorter than some kids who are the same height. I guess that's good in the carseat world.
