Recaro Vivo vs. Monterey

I have a Monterey booster for my 5.5y/o for occassional use but I don't like the way it fits her:

She's in the Regent w/lots of growing room but I still want a booster for dh's car so do you think the vivo would be a better fit?

She's skinny like my DD... and I love the way the Vivo fits her... The lap belt lies perfectly across her lap, shoulder belt sits nicely too. And she's got quite a bit of growing room.

And the headwings at their highest, just so you can see... I don't know her torso measurement off the top of my head but I can get it later if you want... But she's currently at the top slot of the Frontier.

Thanks for the pictures! I really like the way the vivo fits your cute dd! I just feel that the Monterey is too wide in the shoulder area for my skinny dd, the vivo looks like it will place the shoulder belt much better.

I've noticed that the vivo has a very shallow seat, do you find this to be a problem? How do your kids sleep in the vivo? I know I'm spoiled with the very deep seat of the Monterey.

My dd says it's comfy. It's actually seat depth that made me decide on the vivo over the monterey. My ds' seat from the back of the bum to his knees is about 13 inches. The monterey would be way too big for him. I have short kids with short legs! Actually, my 9 year old has sat in the seat and reported it to be comfy and her legs are longer. She doesn't want a comfy seat though. (I think she really doesn't want change.)

DD has never complained about the seat depth being uncomfy. And she's slept in it several times. The headwings are nice and deep and offer her a nice place to rest her head. She looks more comfy sleeping in the Vivo than she does in the Frontier even.

I saw on another thread you had ordered your Vivo already, but since I took these this evening for you, I decided to post them anyway... so you can see the seat depth. But of course, she's asleep already, and I forgot to take her measurements...

I'll admit, it could probably use a little more depth, but she says she's perfectly comfortable and has never complained about it...

The first picture makes her knees look like they're out further than they are, I think because of the folds in her jeans. The second picture is better.

Thank you for taking those pictures for me, they're great! It makes me feel better about buying the vivo, the seat is not as shallow as I thought. It fits your dd so well! I'm excited about it :D
