So yesterday I was telling DS that we were going to go look at car seats for the baby today. Well he got all upset whining that he wanted a new seat too, which is a total surprise to me b/c he LOVES his red seat with pillows. He response to me was...

"but mommy I want to sit backwards too"

Only if I had the money for a MT

:D

Sorry, it's taking me a minute to remember that MT now has a GOOD meaning, even if it's not a US seat, lol.

(Yes, yes, I know it's a Multi Tech ;))

Hear ya, we just priced two for our twins that are 3 and it was close to $1150US for both. I think we may go for the Radians and buy the Clek for our older two and another Vivo. Sigh... if only the money tree was real.

Jeffrey was upset he couldn't sit backwards when Ruthie moved (quite quickly) from the baby bucket... when we gave him her Marathon to put him in harnesses after initially having moved him to a booster, he thought surely that meant he could face backwards, too.

But a simple explanation that he was too big and showing him the numbers in the manual after weighing him and he took it in stride.... just happy to have a comfy seat with harnesses.

Not only that, but I pointed out how lucky he was that he could do things the baby couldn't do... like eat his favorite foods (pizza, broccoli, cookies, ice cream), play with his toys, etc. I also let him be like the baby when he could... like letting him sit in her highchair (50lb limit), wrapping him up burrito style in a big blanket, feeding him with his fork or spoon when he got jealous and wanted me to feed him, that sort of thing.
