EFTA harness twisting

I have my youngest in the EFTA, and the one side of the harness has 1/2 a twist in it, I don't understand how this is even possible, it's fine on one side, and on the other it's good until you get to the crotch buckle, that is almost always stuck backwards, with no fold below it. I can turn it, and sometimes get the harness straight above the buckle for a ride or 2, then it slips back down. I've stopped trying to move the 1/2 turn to below the buckle most of the time, because is it really going to make a difference (the 1/4" lower)

Should I contact evenflo about this? Or what should i do?

The other day for one ride I noticed the same half a twist below the buckle on the other side, the next time we went out, I noticed it was fine. This is all driving me crazy. I love the performance of the seat, but the little things are going to drive me batty.

can you post a pic? i'm asking becuase i think it could be a couple of things. BTW: we've never had any actual harness twisting--as you said, i think it may not be possible, based on the construction of the seat.

what i'm wondering (as this has happened to us a few times) is if it's not the strap that's twisted, but the buckle that's gotten turned the wrong direction. it can happen if the strap twists a little, and then the buckle gets shoved down over the twisted area. does that make sense? a VERY few times, this has happened to us. in order to correct it, you have to twist the strap over on itself, and then pull the buckle up over the twist. this fixes it. does that makes sense?

here are some pictures

you can see in this one the 1/2 twist above the buckle, my hand is holding it tight, or you can't see it, and it looks flat.

Now in this one I moved the buckle above the twist, and held the chest clip there to show the top is flat, see the fold there. :(

I hope these pictures give you a better Idea of what I mean

It looks like the strap may need to be twisted back through the buckle. It probably is also twisted somewhere below the cover to make the full twist. Mine occasionally gets twisted especially after DH puts DD in her seat just because he pulls the buckle a different way.

I would try pulling the twist out through the buckle and letting it fall down into the bottom of the seat. Also if you pull the harness out completely you may find the other part somewhere deep inside.

Ok, so I pulled off half the cover, almost didn't manage it with the seat still installed (rfing) I pulled the harness out all the way, the other half of the twist did not show up, on either side.

I noticed today, again, and i think I know the whole problem now, 1/2 of the twist is on one side of the harness, and the other half is on the other side, now knowing this, does anyone have an idea on how I might be able to fix it?
