I can't find the other thread....maybe I'm just blind tonight.
I called Learning Curve/ First Years. I asked for a belly pad (which he's sending) and new harness height adjustment stickers. Mine are the old ones that say slots 1&2 RF. He said he'd check with another office, but he thinks they can send them to me (the new ones that say slots 1-3 RF).
I also stressed how disapointed I am that I got a brand new seat that is a year old I asked if they made any newer ones, and if it was possible to get one. He wasn't sure if they stopped production or not. But...this is my fav part..... It doesn't matter. They only put an expiration on the seats to make sure you have the newest seat that fits the newer cars As long as my child still fits, and it still fits in my car, it's ok to use it. But usually before 7 years the child will outgrow the seat or you'll get a newer vehicle anyway I explained that as a CPST I was taught it's because the plastic degrades...blah blah blah. ANd he says he can understand where I see that. THe plastic can degrade over time. But it's just been sitting in a box for a year, so it's ok to keep using it. I asked to speak with a supervisor to verify this info and he put me on hold. The supervisor wasn't at her desk but I left a message on her voicemail and hopfully she WILL call me back.
