Thoughts on wagons/5-door crossovers? List included...

We are going to get a new car this summer. It is almost certainly going to be new, as opposed to preowned, because we'd like to lease rather than buy. Our existing car is an '05 Acura MDX, and we're keeping that. We are moving to a place where one car is no longer practical for us, hence the purchase.

The following cars are on our list -- please share any thoughts on any of them, as well as giving me any suggestions for cars we should consider that aren't currently on our list!

In no particular order...please assume latest model year (so 2009 unless by some chance 2010 models are out in June/early July):

Toyota Venza
Audi A4 Quattro
Subaru Outback
Volvo XC70
Audi Q5
Infiniti EX35

I'd go to www.safercar.gov and put in each of those vehicles and choose the two with the best safety ratings, test drive them, and buy whichever one I liked most.

The Toyota gets my vote. They last forever, the seats are comfy, and you'll get great fuel economy. Plus, Toyota made Corolla and Camry station wagons in the past and the Camrys in particular were amazing cars, so I trust that Toyota knows their stuff when it comes to a good, solid family car that will last.
