I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...
I'd like to becoming a certified tech, but I have a few questions. I found the website where I can search for courses and there are a few in my area that I could possibly attend.
My questions are:
-Are there any fee's other than the local fee's listed for each course? I didn't look very hard, but I couldn't find anything...
-Why do some courses cost local fee's and not others? I'd really prefer a class in Crystal Lake since my parents live there and my SIL would be available to babysit and we could stay over there, so I wouldn't have to deal with driving back and forth from a class, but it's $100 and the other class I can consider is free.
-Is there any difference in a class that costs fee's or not?
-How long is my certification good for? What are the requirements for me to keep it good?
-My husband questioned whether there are any possible legal issues with being a tech? Like if I installed a car seat that a child was then injured in, can they turn around and sue me b/c I installed it?
Thanks - I'm so passionate about car safety and I'm really excited that I might finally have the opportunity to take a class!
