Question Adjusting the headwings on the XT?

It seems so weird that the headrest just pulls up and pushes down; is it really that easy? I haven't taken the cover off yet- does the EPS foam get compromised from pulling/pushing on the headrest?

Can I just say how much I love this seat? OMGosh. I liked the regular Radians, but this thing is in a class of it's own. LOVE IT!

I love ours too!

Yeah, it's just that easy, no I don't see any problem with the EPS.

I just got mine, and it seems weird that it just slides up and down. If I pull the headrest all the way up, the EPS foam of the headwings is just above the highest harness slots (under the cover). However, if I let go, the wings settle down 1/2", and the top harness slots get covered mostly. This seems strange and looks like extended use could break the EPS foam off at the bottom.

Gypsy, glad to know I'm not doing anything wrong with it- just seems like the foam is going to get broken at some point because of the movement of the headrest. I can't imagine that we'll be moving it all that often, though, so I'm sure that was a design consideration. I just can't believe how cushy it is compared to our old 65 and 80!

The wings themselves are reinforced with steel bars, so when you grab the foam and plastic together, you have the steel supporting it. So I can't see it being very likely that the foam would break.

The foam at the headwings would be fine, but this thread shows pics where the foam at the base of the headwings (the part that extends over where the straps come out) could break off. At the very bottom part of the foam, there is no plastic or metal behind it. It's weird that they designed it this way.
