We live in a pretty rural area and have quite a few parents at the school that are flat out breaking the law - kindergartners in the front seat without a car seat at all, no seat belts on kids, five and six across in the back seat. Yesterday I saw a snug ride that was *installed* nearly upright with the drivers seat pushing it up, a (small) kindergartner in a low back booster on a seat with no head rest - she's midback with the top of the seat, and three kids literally climbing into the cargo of an old Explorer.
I want to approach the school about this and see if they're open to sending home reminders about car safety, I'm just not sure the best way to do it. I'm having mini panic attacks every day while I'm waiting to pick up DD!
