Which seat to get?

DF's DD is 2 years old and abut 25 pounds. I know, I know, she should be RF....but Mom says no. She's outgrown her Titan by height. She's currently borrowing my Cargo. She either just even with or slightly above the 2nd from top slots, so she's using the top. She is shorter than Sofi by a couple inches, but has the same (or slightly taller) torso height.

Do you think a Cargo ($75) would get her to 40 pounds for a booster? Measurements on the Apex ($90) look to be the same, but we haven't tried her in it yet. I don't think she'll need the GN for weight, but do you think she'll need it for torso height to get to 40 pounds for a booster?

Both of my older two kids outgrew the cargo (older one without memory foam padding) by weight instead of height. Most of my mother's daycare kids outgrow it by weight as well. So, I would say there is a good chance the child could get to 40lbs in it.

Where did you find it for $75?

There was one at Big Lots. I bought it because...umm... She was borrowing my other Cargo...and....I can't not have a FF seat even though my DD is still RF  Or because mine has less than 2 years of life left and years ago (before I knew about ERF) I always loved it for it's high top slots  Or because it was in a store, and only $75 and...umm... I couldn't resist  Or because DF might need to buy one for her DD instead of borrowing mine and buying a GN ;)

I'm just worried about the torso though. Will 2ish inches to grow get her 15 more pounds (and at least 2 years)?
