I have spent hours researching and reading about car seats in the last year, yet I usually don't say much on the topic in fear of offending someone or looking like an over-protective 1st time mom. But, yesterday I was talking to some ladies and car seats came up. I mentioned that I'm a little obsessed and was going to leave it at that. But, one of the girls said she did a lot of research when buying her DD's convertible seat. She said she was really happy with the seat she got, but recently HAD to turn her 22 pound 18 month old forward facing because 'her legs were really squished even though it RFs to 35 pounds.' My simple response was 'My DS's legs are getting long too, but in my research I read that there have never been any leg injuries associated with a RFing child in a crash. I hear most kids are more comfortable RFing and it's A LOT safer too.' That was the end of the conversation. Later I got an email from her that she did a little more research and is turning her DD RFing again thanks to my comments !!!
