Changing Britax adjuster strap

I want to change my Ashley Floral MA to CowMoo. I will need to change the tan straps to black. I can easily change all the other straps, but I am worried that if I pull hard enough to get the adjuster strap out that I won't be able to get the black one in. Any tips?

When I had to change my adjuster strap is instructed you to cut it which I did. However, I then rethreaded the new one wrong and wasn't about to cut that. So, I unstitched the end where it is sewn to make a loop and it was able to just slip right out. I asked here and everyone said that it was fine to do and the loop was most likely there just to keep it from accidently getting unthreaded.

Just wanted to let you know the Cow Moo looks fine with Tan straps. There are tan specs in the white part of the cow moo cover. I would not change them.

Hum, well I was going to switch straps with a friend. Give her my tan for her black. If I have to cut to do it I guess it isn't going to happen.

I believe someone else here mentioned that if you twist the adjuster strap with the folded end pointing up right before you pull it out that it comes out a lot easier. I haven't tried it that way... I just pull and tug until it comes out.

So if I just pull hard enough, it will come out? Then I could switch them?

Except the Ashley Floral that I am giving a friend doesn't look good with black. I'd hate to give her the raw end of the deal.

Yes, you should, but it may be a task trying to get them back in with the folded end. It can be done and I have done it both ways....unstitched it and keep it folded.:)

It's super easy to get the adjuster strap OUT. I just did what the PP said.. twisted the strap, then pulled it out and it came right out. To put it back in, unless you have a newer adjuster strap that is totally flat, I would just unstitch it then it just goes right in. I did that to my last one and I just left it unstitched, it worked great! Just make sure you see how it threaded in so you get it in right... It's not too difficult tho.. :)

I HAVE gotten one in without unstitching it, but it involved a knife and a fork and like 15 minutes of pushing with the knife and pulling with the fork... it was just crazy. So I don't recommend it....
