other than the weight limit..whats the difference between the safe seat step 1 and the snugride 32?

does anyone know if there is a difference between the safe seat step one and the new snugride 32 other than the 2lb weight limit difference? is the new snugride safer? i remember those crash tests that the safeseat separated from the base..but graco threw the results out saying that it wasn't legit..but i still get nervous!

Nothing. Just the weight. For whatever reason, the bases are not interchangable (or are interchangable only one way), but no one really knows why. They look identical. Neither is "safer".

You can use the SR32 base with the SS1, but you can't use the SS1 base with SR32. I believe it is simply because of those 2lbs.
