Radian80 DOM 5/08 - Good Idea?

Sooo, the local baby product distributor has an outlet store, and I popped in this afternoon and they have a Radian80, DOM 5/08 Manhattan for $162.

It was a seat that came to the distributor with a damaged box, so no box, but it looks like it is in great shape. What do you think? Is this a deal I shouldn't refuse?

I am tempted, since I could do some shuffling and eventually get DD (3.5yo, 31lb, 38in tall, 14inch torso) to RF again.

opinions????

At the outlet I also saw some 08 marathons with coture covers for $222, and a 7/08 GN for $109. They seem to get the older seats and sell them at decent discounts. But the "no box" prices are even better.

anyone? No opinions?

while waiting/pondering I have been searching the site and am unsure if it may be a good idea because of the installation in my vehicles.

My vehicle situation: main vehicle: 06 Toyota Tacoma crew cab - currently GN outboard passenger and RF Marathon outboard driver, second vehicle 03 Saturn VUE with a EFTA RF.

DD sits RF in the saturn and occasionally in the MA. I have to keep at least 1 seat in the Saturn that fits both kids. DS is 16mo, 25lb, 12in torso.

The main reason I am pondering this is the low price and if it weren't so cheap I would just leave things as is since it has been working - except for the fact that DD is FF.

Thanks!

Sounds like a great deal to me. I bought a radian80 for a similar price and the dom was a year and a half old when I got it. Radian boxes are known for being damaged during delivery and most of the time the seats are fine.
