A booster forgotten.

My 8 yr old went to get into the car this morning and then freaked out when he saw his booster was missing (my husband had taken G in his car last night and forgot to return the booster). So I told him why not see how the seatbelt fits (knowing that it doesn't, but wanting to show him because we've been talking about the 5 step test in smaller cars). He tries it on, and immediately says "this isn't right, it's poking me in the belly and hurts my neck!". :D Good boy. I ran downstairs to get the Monterey that has been waiting to be returned to it's rightful owner, and when he sees which booster I found for him he got so excited! He was thrilled to get to ride in the "comfy one with pillows". I'm not sure what the point of this story is, but I thought it was cute.

You have him well-trained.

You know some people would forget the booster and tell the kid, "just put it behind your back!" :(

I got my friend's kid a Monterey for Christmas and he is STILL talking about how comfy it is (and he rides in it every time he's in the car!!!)

That Monterey really does feel cushy, I can totally see why kids like it. Greg rode in a parkway for years so he is used to head and side wings, and I think he misses them in the Clek.

I do think there is just as much room between the MA and Monterey vs the MA and the Clek because of those giant armrests

I do not need to buy another booster, I do not need to buy another booster, I do not need to buy another booster...

hey, but if you do, you'll have a highback booster ready for when Megan grows out of the Marathon (forgetting her age... I'm assuming she's 5 or so, right??)

She's only 3, got a long torso so she's flirting with the top slots on the MA. I'm worried she might not make it much past 4 in it. I am thinking of a RN for her to give her some extra height, and me some width room for my 3 across. I'd prefer a Nauti, but I don't think I can fit it. I won't be putting her in a booster for a while!

She is tall! I thought she was older too. I do like the monterey but you are right doubt it would work 3 in a row.

Radian won't give you MUCH height over the MA-- only an inch or so. How soon is she due for a torso spurt?

Hopefully not for a while, she has grown a fair bit in height recently. My thought was the RN could get her another year, then could be passed down RF to the baby, and then maybe I could fit a Nauti? Originally I was hoping that Greg would be out of a booster (9.5 yrs old at that point) but it's not looking likely.

Got another suggestion? Other than a new vehicle? I like my Camry and it should be big enough for 3 kids, gosh darn it!

We get that a lot. I don't feel she's all that much bigger than her peers, but she definitely has a long body and wears 5/6 dresses.

I have a two year old (well almost 3) that size (but longer legs too.) I don't think she's that big (compared to her also big little sister especially) but then I realize that all those kids she's a half a head taller than? They're a full year older than her... Oh... ;)

Hmmm, I'll have to think on 3-across suggestions. I think getting a year and then passing it down isn't a bad one, but maybe something narrower than the Nauti but tall will be out by then? We can dream, right?

It would be dreaming to think that it could make it to the market in Canada by the time I need it. LOL.
I think it will all matter how the seats puzzle. The car itself is plenty wide, but the outboard seats have a kind of foam bolster along the edges, which stops you from shifting the seats towards the doors. I did get FF MA/SafeSeat/Parkway but it was way tight and Greg doesn't fit well in the PW anymore, and the safeseat was tough to clip in because the handle area was right against the edge of the MA. The other 3 across I did was PW/FF MA/FF RN.

well, you could get an 86-Y and put her in the Monterey with that when she outgrows the Radian or right when she outgrows the Marathon!
