So, I know you're not supposed to wash or soak carseat harness straps because it can weaken the webbing. Does the same hold true for seatbelts in vehicles? Like, if you spilled a drink on a seatbelt and it saturated the webbing, does that make the seatbelt less safe? Also, what about converibles or Jeep Wranglers? If you have a convertible and your car gets soaked because you left the top down in a rainstorm, can that affect the seatbelts? And with the Jeep, the same scenario could apply, plus if you go off-roading and you go through a stream or river, sometimes it can saturate the inside of the Jeep. Sorry for rambling, DH and I was discussing this yesterday...
