2000 sienna. I ordered the latch kits to put in this weekend. There is an anchor bolt available behind the second row driver's side, and both outboard third row seats.

The kids are dd 8.5, 54lbs in a confidence booster that is almost outgrown with the back. ds1 is 7 and 55lbs in a fpsvb with the seatbelt locked. And ds2, 3.5 and 29lbs in a fpsv. I wanted to put ds2 rearfacing but his legs are so long that it is interfering with the harness tightness.

I am considering putting both boys in the third row outboard and dd in the second row passenger side. I would keep the 2nd row driver's side seat folded down so I could easily get the boys back there and I could see my 7 year old sitting correctly. I just wonder if I would get sick of climbing into the van to buckle the 3 year old. What do you all think?

If that doesn't work then I will just put 3 year old 2nd row driver's side instead. ds1 absolutely wants to sit in the third row and dd wants to sit in the second row.

Just try it and see. If you don't like it, then just rearrange seats. You only have one installed seat, so it's not that big a deal.

I have never heard of a child's long legs interfereing with getting the harness tight enough. Would you elaborate on that for me please? Does it force him to slouch?

I have this issue with my son. His harness is hard to get acceptably tight with his legs. I have the BV so I place the harness slots at his shoulders and when I buckle him in his legs leave a lot of slack. I don't feel I can get it tight enough cause of his legs. I don't like it and when I turn it around without adjusting the harness it is wayyyyyyyy to lose in my vehicle. So I have my 4 year old FF because of it.

Yup. That is exactly the problem. My son has a short torso - 13 inches -and longer legs. He may be lightweight and have plenty of room in the shell height but his legs are really folded up. I don't think he would have the same problem in the radian, but that has to stay in dh's car as it is the only one that can fit with the parkways in there.

Britax seats are great, but the shallow seat makes it a bit harder to extended rearface a child with long legs.

Well, we got it and I love it. I will post pictures in a couple of days.

I asked R which seat he wanted in the van and he wanted his Radian. HE insisted that it be rearfacing. He loves it and I got a nice install. Unfortunately, I will need to put his radian back in the corolla when Dad needs to drive all the kids anywhere - I can only get three across with it ff in there. I will try to put his fpsv rearfacing in the van when I have to switch the seats.
