Question Seat placement ?'s for my temporary van

Just a couple questions regarding which seats to use, for who, and where in my temporary vehicle. This is for one week.

The vehicle is a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan, with no tether anchors. I am in Canada, so tethers are required, but I'm not going to get a borrowed vehicle retrofitted for a week.

Kids are:

Faith (7), Griffin (6), Rayn (3.5), Riley (2.5). Faith and Griffin will be in boosters and Rayn and Riley are both FF.

Seats are:

Parkway, highback turbo booster, backless turbo booster, Radian, Nautilus, Apex, and True Fit.

I'm assuming that Riley should be in the Radian because he's the youngest FF child and there are no TAs. So because of the low head excursion numbers in an untethered Radian, he should be in that.

I'm not sure what to put Rayn in. Either True Fit, Nautilus, or Apex. I thought I remembered seeing a chart with various head excursion numbers for a bunch of seats with and without tethers. Can't remember where it was though. If i put her in the True Fit Griffin can fit in the Nautilus in harnessed mode, although that's not a huge concern because he's a great booster rider. I'm just not sure which seat is the best untethered for Rayn. She is 36lbs and very tall/long torsoed.

Thoughts? And which side of the vehicle should Rayn and Riley go on?

I would put them in the middle seat and the booster kids in the back. For Rayn, I would go TF and Nauti.

Did you mean TF OR Nauti? I can put her in the Tf and Griffin in the GN, and then the PW can stay in DH's truck....

Yes, sorry, OR was the word I was looking for. I figured, since there are no tethers, leave the older kiddos in boosters. Griffin in the GN works also. Faith in the PW?

If Griffin is in the GN, I'll leave the PW in DH's truck. Geeze, why didn't I just send you one big long PM instead of posting two threads?!

Because you know I will go to bed soon, and by the time I get up, you will have 4 other people posting what they think you should do?

Are you allowed to use a seat belt as a tether in Canada? Stupid question, huh?

Don't know about the seatbelt as a tether. I will ask Nicole, she'll know. Then again, it's 1am here so Trudy should be posting soon.

I would put Rayn in the Radian, and Riley in something else, for the low head excursion numbers. Bigger kids have higher head excursion in the same seat, just because they are heavier, putting more forces on the seat, and because they are taller, so they reach farther.

I thought that because Riley is younger, so his spine is less fused, and his head is larger in relation to his body than Rayns. She is quite a bit taller than him,and they both weigh the same. I'm confused!
