Need a second car seat

My DD is 19 months, 21 lbs and 34 inches. We have her in Britax Marathon (backward facing). We'd like another car seat for DH's car...he doesn't want to spend the $279 on another Marathon. What are some other recommendations in the under $200 range. His car is a Nissan Altima.

The First Years True Fit or Evenflo Triumph Advance are great options. They'll RF to 35# and FF to 65# or 50# respectively. The True Fit even has lock-offs and premium (like your Britax) LATCH connectors.

You can also get a girly MA for pretty cheap at Albeebaby. Ashley Floral is $179.99. Plum & Black is $219.99. Trellis is $229.99. If DH doesn't want a girly seat in his car and your MA isn't girly you can put the new one in your car and the less girly in his car, or you could buy a spare cover that's less girly.

I would get a true fit or a radian 65. They have the tallest shells and so will last the longest for rear facing. the true fit installs much more upright so takes up less space front to back, but it is very wide. The radian is very reclined RF so may affect front seat passengers, but is narrow so will allow more backseat space.

Hi! My DH has an Altima and I debated getting a second Marathon for it too. I decided that I loved the seat and had to get a second one. I ordered from TravelingTikes.com for less than $200 with free shipping and got a great DOM! :twocents:
