I just heard about this new child restraint for airplanes only. It has been approved for FAA use only. It's great for those that don't want to lug their car seat on the plane itself. It only weighs 1lb and comes with a carrying pack. I haven't seen it but I thought I would pass the info on.

Rated from 22-44lbs.

I think it is a great idea but not at $74. + shipping. I will lug my car seat, thanks. If the price was more like $30. I think people would use it. Or if you could rent them from the airlines for like $5.00 a flight.

I would still gate check my car seat though, and never check it with my luggage. So with that said I will still just use my MA on the plane and then it never leaves my sight.

I agree with you as most places you still need a seat at your destination. But, For those that don't want to lug the car seat on the plane or have a seat waiting for them on the other end. This might be a good option. Just letting other out there know of the new restraint.

OMG, thank you! This is the best thing ever, I've been searching posts endlessly trying to figure out what's the best seat to bring on planes and it seemed like a huge hassle no matter what. It's about time someone came up with a product like this! If you travel a lot it's worth every penny!! :)
