sending seat back to Britax

I have a Decathlon that I have had since last October that has the "sticky" adjuster problem. It has always been difficult to adjust but I wanted to love this seat so I told myself it wasn't that bad and that it would be easier once I was using the seat ff. Well boy was I wrong! I had to flip my 21 month old son due to my HUGE belly just until I deliver and the adjuster is almost harder to adjust while ff! So I called Britax CS (my first time except for requesting a recall kit for our old Marathon) and the gal (Susan) said she hadn't heard of the problem. And said that they will need me to send it in to be looked over by a tech there. Has anyone done this? I just don't see what they could do to make it easier unless they already had a replacement strap (a smaller one or something) that they were retrofitting on the Decathlons with this problem...but in that case I would assume the cs rep would have heard about the problem.
If you have sent a seat back to them did they fix the problem? Did they say they had no luck finding the problem? Just curious as to how your experience with this was!
Thanks!

I've had to send a Wizard back for a LATCH buckle being fixed (hubby pulled too hard before I said ok and he snapped part of it off). It was easy. Put it in the box and shipped it back, then it came back about a week or a little more later all repaired.

I hope it's fixed easily for you guys.

I too sent a Wiz back. The seat would not stay in upright position and would just flop back into a recline. I didn't realize this right away since I had always had it installed rf. They said that was fine, it was still under warrenty and to 'just' mail it to them. It isn't cheap to ship one of those seats but they did find that it had a faulty base, put on a new one and sent it back to me rather quickly I think. It was worth the trouble. The seat came with a brief letter and a statement of what had been done to the seat.
You'll need a repacement seat for a few weeks but yours should come back fixed.

If they can replicate the problem they will either repair it or replace it. You should be just in time for the year warranty. Good luck!
