Is the FPSVD worth it yet?

I had one and sold it about a year ago because it was too big for my car with the girls next to it. Now my mom needs a seat and I see the FPSVD has dropped to $109 on albee.

Simply based on DS's stats and growth pattern (at around 12mths his torso hit 12") I wasn't really looking at HWH seats. But I'm thinking for the extra weight limit and torso height, $109 isn't bad, right? I won't need the full lifespan.

My "consideration" list currently includes:

~New style Cargo
~RYS (trying HARD to find a deal on one since I've recently seen it in booster mode)
~FPSVD
~Uptown

why is this so hard???

IDK, Im sure the seat would probably be almost, if not 2 years old. I paid $129 for mine back in 07 and mine was only a couple months old then. So they havent discounted it TO much,
However, I like mine and it does harness to 55lbs..

Call Albee, mention how old it is, and offer them $89 for it. They might take it, might not.

Wow, how nice of them to *finally* drop the price!
They just don't get it!

I have two of them and they really are great seats, if you are very careful with the cover or get a used Marathon cover. ;)

I personally think that $109 for 4 years of use for a good HWH convertible is a pretty good deal, so if I needed it, I wouldn't hesitate at the price. (I'm not really concerned about the original price -- I'm concerned about what I am paying for what I am getting.)

I would also probably go for it if I needed it. It's not a lot different than those $99 comos that were going on Woot! My SIL got one of those and it's a mid-2007 DOM.

I've used the FPSVD once and I really liked it, so I'd probably go for it at that price.

Personally, I'd get one of the other HWH convertibles that might cost a bit more--but you'll get the full life out of.

But you say you wouldn't need the full lifespan...so. lol
109 doesn't seem like that good of a deal , when I got mine in 2007, for 129 and 139. And mine were new at the time.

Shoot, try the thing the previous poster mentioned--and offer 89 for it. That's not a bad price, imo.
