Eddie Bauer infant seat

My SIL (who I completely trust and know that this seat hasn't been in an accident or anything) has offered to let us use the carseat my niece just grew out of.

The only problem is I haven't researched this seat at all and I'm getting to where I need to buy our carseat soon since we only have a month left until the due date.

It's either this Eddie Bauer infant seat or we buy the Graco Safeseat. We will be saving a ton of money, I just want to some reassurance that the Eddie Bauer seat has done okay in tests and all that.

Can you find a picture of the seat on the internet and link to it here? The problem is that there isn't just one Eddie Bauer infant seat.

If it's the one where the base is bullet-shaped, I'd just pitch the thing in the trash (wrap it up in a black garbage bag first) and go for the SafeSeat. That particular infant seat (aka the Caress) is, well, you're much better off spending the money on a new infant seat.

I don't know about the EB seat, but remember with the Graco Safeseat you will be able to use to 30lbs, I think. So you won't have to get a new seat so soon.
