Seat going back... Can I keep the cover?

I'm mailing my SS1 back to Graco because the handle is beginning to peel. Can I keep the cover or straps or does everything have to go back?

WHen I sent mine back a year ago, they told me to keep the cover and canopy because that cover was no longer being sold (ie- if I liked it, I'd "never" find it again). I'd say keep at least the cover and canopy. Ask about the harness though. Maybe you can keep that too. I'm pretty sure Britax lets you keep the cover but not the harness.

So should I just call back and ask?

When my Recaro Como had to go back (daughter chewed a snap off of the adjustment strap and they wanted to see it), I called and they said to keep the covers, etc...because they wouldn't need to see that. I would call first and see what they have to say.

yup, call back and ask. My experience is Graco is very nice with their returning seats policy. THe letter said something about returning it within so many days (30? 60?) and I never got around to it... I ended up calling back twice to get a new letter (one I lost, the 2nd was past the date).
