    Used Britax Questions

Ok, I just purchased an extra Marathon Britax from a friend of mine. The Mfg. Date is 01/03. The seat seems to get in Great condition. My question is this: Is there anything I can check to make sure the seat is still in safe condition to use. There is a little bit of fraying on the Harness adjuster strap. Very minimal fraying!! It seems to be that way from the Strap being adjusted and rubbing through the adjuster device. Other than that the seat looks great. Just making sure though! Thank in Advance!

Make sure that it has never been in an accident. I would also ask her how she cared for the cover and the harness. If she has washed the harnes in the washing machine or used any harsh cleaners and/or brushes on it, then I'd suggest getting a new harness for it. If you are concerned about the harness adjuster, give Britax a call and let them know. Who knows, even though the seat is out of warranty they might just send you a new adjuster strap.
