Does this fit?

He is 6 weeks old today and I think is somewhere around 12 lbs. He REALLY grew this last week and got some chubby cheeks too.

I am trying to see if a convertable helps his dislike of the car.

The slots in the cover where just a hair taller than the ones in the shell when I checked.

He fits better in this than the snugride. I think its because the SR crotch strap is so far away from his behind and the belly pad seems to help.

As far as height, that's close enough to "at" the bottom slots for my personal comfort level. Can you get a snugger fit on his thighs of you remove the HUGS?

Is he in a cloth diaper? If so, will he be in disposables when you go out? That might change my answer.

I would be ok with that fit, especially if you can get the harness snug enough.

(You are planning on taking the HUGS off, right?)

I can take the HUGS off and see if that makes it snugger in the hips.

No cloth diaper and his disposable was dry. I had just changed him.

I think it'd be good as long as you removed the HUGS. The harness just doesn't seem snug enough with them on(hip area) . what a cutie!

I agree, remove the HUGS. And the chest clip seems really low, is it actually at his armpits? I can't tell because of his outfit.
