MIL asked me about a few different car seats last night. She is buying one for her step daughter who is due in May. I told her that I liked the SS1 that I used with DD and that I was getting KF30 this time. She emaile dme this link and asked what I think about it. Any thoughts?

Does it have front adjust? I did a search for it on here, but I didn't find anything on this specific seat.

if you enlarge the picture you can see that there is a strap for front adjust. JUST barely see it.

Sounds interesting to say the least. The idea of one hand adjust sounds good, to limit misuse it said. I am interested to see what others say!

A few memeber have had other compass infant sears. I am blanking on SNs at the moment though. Everyone that has had one has seemed to be happy with it.

Of course, a SS1 is also a great choice.

I think she is going with the SS1. She said she would show step daughter the choices and ask what she thinks. I told her not to. She is 18 and was going to use a second hand seat she got from someone, no one knows what the history is. She will let me know what she decides tomorrow.

Thanks!

I have that exact Compass seat, which we are still using for ds2. I bought it from albeebaby about 8 mos ago. DS2 has been using it for the last 7 mos. I have a review posted about it. For a full term baby, it makes a really nice seat, but it does have it's draw backs. The biggest annoyance in day to day use is the metal anchors to hook it onto the Inglesina stroller--they are seriously painful to bump into your leg! I've almost torn my pants on them and have bruises from it. It's not the most convenient seat to carry, although it is light. Also, the lock off is almost impossible to unlock, the handle must not be used in the car in the upright position, and the harness is a one-piece that runs thru the back.

I have played w/the SS1 and much prefer it. I'd also recommend spending the extra $20 on it! I would have considered it if my baby was going to be full term, but he wasn't.
