Snugride 32 -- handle up or down when installed?

Does anyone know if baby can ride in the Snugride 32 with the handle in the up position? I can't get to my manual right now. Thanks!

Page 16 of the online manual says there are four locked positions, A, B, C, and D. A is the carry position. In the car, the handle can be in any locked position EXCEPT B.

now see I am anal and I always dropped the handle. It only takes a couple more seconds but if the manual says you can use it up and you need to then I would say go for it

We (almost) always put ours in up. (In one car, up was in the sight line so we'd put it into C instead)

The seat is so big that it will be easier to travel with it up.

Did you know that the Graco engineers who work on this seat always leave THEIR handles up for their own kids? It really IS safe to do
