Mine was fraying so the sent me a new one. The buckle tongs are different, the old ones have exposed metal and the new ones do not. Maybe it will not fray this time?

Her is a pic:

ETA: If this has already been mentioned sorry

Hopefully that resolves the issue for you. My True Fit has the tongues with the metal and I haven't had any fraying of my harness as of yet (seats is almost 10 months old and used daily). How long did it take your Frontier to start fraying?

I am happy to hear the new tongues are in. My MA's harness is fraying and I just got the seat in Nov. It was mentioned in another thread that Britax was changing the bucklce tongues and that was supposed to fix the fraying problem but it didn't say when they would start shipping the new ones out.

My MA started fraying after about a month of daily use. It isn't bad but the sides of the harness are fuzzy looking.

I have had the Frontier since July so about 8 months. It started a couple of months ago I tried to just minimize the ajusting because it was not that bad at first, but apperently that did not work. I called CS when it started getting worse and they sent m a new right away :)

Thanks for posting this! I've not had a problem with my harness, but I want a new one anyway ('just because....' lol) and I was hoping the new plastic coated tongues would be the kind they were shipping (they mentioned it here a couple weeks ago, so it's nice to see real life proof )

I had the same problem with my GN, I wonder now if that was the problem?! Anyone who has a GN, can you check yours?

Woohoo! I called today because my MA has been fraying. I requested the new buckle tongues, but she couldn't gaurantee they were finished with testing. So, maybe I'll get the new ones :)

I think I need to call now. Mine have been slightly frayed for a while, but not really bad. And I didn't know if getting new ones would really do anything. But those new buckle tongs look like they'll solve the problem!

And it looks like the opening is now the same width as the harness! The old one seems like it's a little wider than the harness and I think that's why the harness sometimes gets folded over and gets twisted!

ya know, I always wondered how DH could twist the BV straps. I guess cuz of the buckle. Think they'll send me new buckles for 2 seats that don't have fraying harness (not used frequently enough)?

Ohhhhh I want one!!

I already have not one, but two, replacement harnesses, do you think they'll send me a third??

They replaced it the first time due to fraying around the buckle tongues like you had, then the second one was because of the slipping off of the yoke problem. but the new one I have on there is beginning to fray again after just a few months of use:thumbsdown:

Should I pursue it????

I was at BRU today. I noticed the Frontier had the new buckles (no visible metal). THe harness itself had a DOM of 10/2008. Couldn't find the DOM on the seat (but I got distracted and didn't look too hard).
