How much longer?

How much longer do you think we can get out of the MA? Hoping to get to 2.5. The red thing is a folder I placed on top of his head to give you a better idea. My lord this child has a ginormous torso!

He's actually leaning forward the tiniest bit in the first pic:

There is definitely NOT four inches of shell. I promise. If I put my index and middle finger together, I can measure about 2 of those from the top of the shell to the red folder.

Measure from the back of the shell...the very edge. You have alot more room than you think.

Thanks for the reference picture Jools!

Don't worry. I'm not turning him around anytime soon. I meant I was hoping to get him to 2.5 in the MA. I'm hoping he does stall but he sure doesn't seem to be. I swear he spurts one a month, and it's ALWAYS in the torso. His poor legs are like little stumps!

Guess I should take my own advice and measure down one inch, then mark the cover with a washable fabric pen. That way I'll know and won't have my monthly freak out. ;)

are you measuring at the same angle the seat is. like you make a T. the folder should be perpendicular to the ma rather than parrallel to the floor of the car. am i making ANY sense? LOL

His spurts should slow down a bit as he turns 2 and sprouts some legs! There's really no way to plan ahead to guess when it'll be outgrown, it totally depends on that torso (and head size and neck length, :))

it does look loike a lot of shell over his head..2-3 inches....which, at his age, if he is like 99% of kids and starts growing legs and slows down torso growth, will be possibly 2+ more years of RFing..
Myy dd has only grown 2 inches of torso from age 1 to age 4.5, if that makes you feel better!
