Pure Speculation - new Britax Parkway

Do you think there's any chance that the Parkway might be released in some pretty prints, maybe coutre cover options? Or in the past, has Britax only offered basic patterns with their Boosters?

The regular PW came in a variety of great prints...if this one sells well it probably will, too. If it doesn't sell well, it'll be like 2 boring colors until it's discontinued (Monarch?....booooring...lol)

I am.

It doesn't need arm rests.

Actually, I believe to comply with more current testing standards, boosters are required to have arm rests. So, it does need arm rests.

Also, they're making it so it becomes a backless, which also necessitates the armrests.

Interesting. What's the logic behind requiring arm rests?

Armrests are another word for 'belt guides'....which is why most boosters have such totally useless armrests for resting arms, they are just meant to keep belts lower on the hips/lap so it doesn't ride up in a crash. :)
I'm honestly not sure that they are 'required' now (There are still Cosco and Evenflo combos on the market without them, or where the belt goes behind them instead of under them), but retailers pretty much can't sell a seat without armrests because people think they are what 'big kids!' need and want and they demand them.

well, they are required/needed in some respect for backless boosters... and the new parkway is supposedly going to convert to backless.

those seats without true armrests have some way to keep the belt routed properly instead.

I still like my Parkway without armrests, lol. Makes buckling a lot easier! Plus it'd never fit in my Escort next to the Radian with armrests, and it'd be impossible to buckle with armrests. :)
