Maternity Seatbelt Attachment - Safe or No?

I wouldn't recommend using any seatbelt add-on product, preggo or otherwise, and it's not necessary. It's very easy to position the lap belt underneath a pregnant belly without adding anything to the seatbelt. :twocents: Honestly, that add-on looks like it would put more uncomfortable pressure on the groin and bladder area for a pregnant woman who really doesn't need added discomfort when there's no real need or safety benefit from using it, lol.

Actually, because I happen to have very skinny upper legs and a car with tall stiff stalks on the lower belt attachments and deep bucket seats, the lap belt is routed in front of my abdomen all the time (about 1-2" above the tops of my legs), so I was thinking about something like this just to protect my major organs.

Sure, but it's been decades since I fit in a BPB (my legs may be skinny but my hip bones are far wider than 12", which seems to be the internal width of every BPB out there).

But not all adults, pregnant women, and vehicle seats are made equally. Whilst just a little extra effort will result in a properly fitting seat belt on most pregnant women, one cannot automatically assume that this will be true of all pregnant women, and even the same pregnant woman in a different vehicle. Blanket statements rarely, if ever, cover everyone or everything...
