1990 Ford Bronco

My husband recently purchased a 1990 Ford Bronco. All of the seat belts in the backseat are lap belts. His oldest is in a booster seat and if I remember correctly, those require a shoulder belt, correct? His Bronco doesn't have air bags, so would it be safer for him to ride in the front seat in a booster? I'm not sure how much he weighs or how tall he is, but I'm thinking of letting him try the Nautilus to see if he fits in it. If he doesn't fit in the seat, what are his options?

Thanks!

We owed one with lapbelt onlys once. We had small kids at the time.

How old is he? I would suggest you try the nautilus first. Will you and ds ride in the bronco at the same time? If so, you really need to get ds harnessed.

Can you get a tether installed? We didn't b/c we had rf then. Other seat options would be the regent and frontier, but they both require tether after 50#.

Boosters do require a lap and shoulder belt. I would do front seat as a last option, but that is probably even more that ds1, dd1 and I were with dh, when we t-boned a car that pulled out infront of us. That is the only crash I have ever been in.
