Are these stress marks on the BLVD?

Huge picture warning! I kept them full size for now so you can easily see the marks.
EDITED: I shrunk the pics now that I know it's no big deal.

I am fairly certain they are new. I never noticed them before. I only recently started installing the BLVD with LATCH instead of the seatbelt.
Maybe I am installing it too tight? Should I be concerned?

The marks are only around the two foam blocks and on the two legs that are only visible in recline mode.
Not on the foot part (like where the handle is to move it from recline to upright mode.)

Weird... they almost look like scratches from the pics, do they feel like scratches? Have you inquired with Britax? I doubt you could create something like that from installing tight... it would take a massive amount of force I would think.

Just toolmarks from the mold. They're not stress marks by any means, and I sincerely doubt they are a danger. Remember, car seats aren't born, they're made by melting plastic into a mold... the plastic can show swirling without a problem.

Nope, it's all very smooth.

It's the fact that the marks are only concentrated around those two blocks and on the legs that has me a touch worried.

I doubt they are any danger too. I'm just wondering if this is normal because I don't think they were there before.
