Question Changes for the 2009 Frontier?

I'm looking at getting DD a Frontier. She's in a Graco Safeseat Step2 right now and she's 37lbs and 39 inches (12.5" torso) she'll be 3 in late May. I assumed (I guess incorrectly) that the sale earlier this month was to clear out the 2008 stock to make room for the 2009 model. Does anyone know if there is any change between the late 2008 model (that has the seatbelt fix) and the 2009 model? And if there is, any ideas when the 2009 model is coming out? I feel like a fool for having missed the sale if there is no change coming. I was hoping for something.

I've looked at the Nautilus too but I don't like the positioning of the red clip for when it's used as a belt positioning booster. It looks like that would be right on her neck when she sleeps, or she could hit it if in an accident. I don't know if that's a valid concern.

I like Britax and I wish I'd got a marathon for her when she was younger, but I wasn't yet comfortable spending that much.

Any ideas on the Frontier? I've read on here about the Regent being discontinued, and hopeful changes for the Frontier (higher strap height, etc.) that obviously won't be on the 2009 model. I guess I don't know if I should still wait or try to see if somewhere still has the sale price. $279 is a lot to spend not knowing if they'll come out with an improved version in March or something.

Britax has sales twice a year -- it should not be assumed that they are clearing out stock in preparation for a redesign. I mean, it MIGHT happen, but it also might not. Your child has three pounds left in the seat, so it would be a good idea to shop based on what's available now.

Given her current stats I'd hold off for now. I would want to see what Britax is doing with the Frontier. I have no opinion on the Nautilus' red belt guides. I don't own the seat, nor have I seen one being used in booster mode. Sorry.
