If the Marathon had a removable base...

I would buy another one!

I just wish you could remove the base (like on the Alpha Omega and Elite seats) for a lower profile. Then it would be awesome!

I really like my Marathons but for a big 3 1/2 yr old, it's up so high.
So now I wish I had Radians for him, because they are lower. But the 7 1/2 yr old granddaughter is still in the Radians in two cars so I can't use them for him yet. As soon as she is out of them, I will move him into them and maybe sell the Marathons.

Because the bases don't come off! :p

Does anyone else feel this way?

I agree with you. It isn't a problem for K much yet, but when M and I were in marathons I remember telling them all the time to be careful so they didn't hit their heads on the door frame while getting in. I love my marathons, but having them with a lower profile would be wonderful!

I agree with you also. I just didn't see this post yesterday.

I really like lower profile seats for older kids. DS is just over 3 and it is hard to get him in and out and when he climbs in himself he leaves muddy footprints all over the seats. I will say though, even if the marathon did have a lower profile I am sure we would be switching ds to something else shortly. His shoulders are getting quite squished and while he doesn't complan he doesn't look very comfortable either.

I totally agree! I loved the MA rear-facing, but I'm not loving it so much ff, b/c of how high up dd sits. She's getting Frontiers sometime this year, and I think it'll be a lot easier on her.
